Shannon
Golf Club

This club ranks 83rd out of the 451 clubs in our system.

Situated at the mouth of the River Shannon, this prestigious and highly rated championship course "will provide an excellent test of the golfer's ability." (Christy O'Connor Jnr). Strategically placed bunkers and water hazards ensure that the Shannon course demands full concentration from the golfer. A case in point is the par 3, 17th signature hole with a 185 yard carry over the treacherous Shannon estuary.

An excellent test of golf in all conditions. Accuracy is more important than length, but at 6,515 meters, it could be a day of long shots

I travelled from Galway to play Shannon a number of times. The course is very well kept and a good test of golf. The staff are friendly enough and the food is decent as are the changing facilties. Reasonably priced green fees make Shannon probably one of the best courses to play in Ireland at the moment, long may it continue

Always a pleasure to play. A real test of golf. Greens were in superb condition and the rest of the course top notch. Food was excellent & overall very friendly service.

This course is such good value, excellent course/facilities/food, I got complete satisfaction and I look forward to playing it again. Great mix of holes but there are some easy ones as well.

Excelent course, great test. Need to be accurate off the tee as anything wayward is heavily penalised. Great variety too. Top notch grub in the clubhouse.
