This mighty links made Golf World's Top 100 Courses in Britain and Ireland, as much for its beauty as for its golfing challenge. Lying in the bosom of Donegal Bay, the course occupies an elegant peninsula which is backed by the magnificent Blue Stack Mountains. "Hauntingly beautiful and an excellent test of golf" is how Peter Dobereiner of the English Observer newspaper described it. The course demands some pure ball striking as the ever-present ocean breeze ensures that it plays long and challenging. You are always assured of a warm and traditional welcome at Donegal.

Great days golf. We were lucky in that the sun shone and the wind was at a minimum. On the day we played Darren Clarke was playing and celebrating his 40th birthday. It's his favourite links course.
Some great holes and no disappointing holes. |

Once again we're back to Murvagh. Its that kind of course. Greens and fairways were in great condition but wayward shots were punished by the unusually high and tough rough. This course always tempts to hit long but you got to hit clever as well. Ended up with a 3 iron off most tees as the wind began to blow hard. Very Enjoyable |

I heard a lot about this golf course from friends from Edinburgh who played there last year. It is probably the best course I have played in Ireland. I am a big hitter and I was able to open up the shoulders! Unbelievable value for what you get.

Play this course and see why it's rated in the top 100 in the world. Simply magnificent. 4 thru 8 and 11 thru 15 are unbelievably exciting stretches. One of my favourites |

A class track, it's got the length, the difficulty, the wind and the beauty. A genuine top 20 in Ireland. Really worth a visit. |

Perfect Irish weather - it p****d down & blew a gale for all 4 and half hours - but what a course!! I wonder what it's like when it really got its teeth out (it let me par a hole) |
